We invite you to...
At Christ Church, worship is our very top priority. Or, to put it another way, God is our very top priority. We quit our work and leisure for one day every week, and turn to God our Saviour in exalted, stretching, hearty praises.
We invite you (whether you are a Christian or not) to come and worship God with us.
“Let us receive grace, by which we may worship God acceptably, with reverence and godly fear, for our God is a consuming fire.” (Hebrews 12:28,29)
Once we have become Christians, we don’t just visit church - we are the church. And so, if you are a Christian, we invite you to belong - like eyes, ears, arms and legs belong to a body. This is a picture the Bible uses. Even though you are in Bradford only during term time, come and belong. By the Spirit’s power we will try to be eyes and hands for you.
“You also as living stones are being built up into a spiritual house” (1 Peter 2:5)
When God brings Christians together as a church, He is building a body (or a temple). He is a very precise builder. Every stone (ie each Christian) fits precisely into the wall - and is essential to the structure. No Christian is allowed to say, “I’m useless”.
This means that (even though you are in Bradford only during term time) you can be an eye or a hand for us. We invite you to come and serve. In fact, you will find that there are specific acts of service waiting for you! The Lord planned them a very long time ago!
“We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has prepared beforehand.” (Ephesians 2:10)
