Leaders at Christ Church

Our pastor is Tim Mills. He was saved on Easter Sunday 1976. He is married to Deborah and they have three young children. Tim trained at the London Theological Seminary. He then had different kinds of ministries in Wolverhampton, Manchester, Belfast and Swansea before becoming our pastor in May 1998. Most of our Sunday preaching (about 70%) is done by Tim. If we were based in Minneapolis he might be called “pastor for preaching and vision”.  Tim has a blog at www.vertizontal.co.uk

Rob Plant is one of our elders and an engineer. Rob came to university in Bradford more than thirty years ago. He and Jane came to our church as students. They married, and—five grown up children later—are still the backbone of the fellowship. Among other things, Rob preaches to us about 10 times a year.

Keith Mitton is one of our elders and a professional musician. He was saved when he was 25 in an evangelistic crusade in Belfast and was greatly helped by the ministry of the late Herbert Carson in Bangor. Keith then moved to Bradford with his family and was pastor of this church for some years. Keith's wife, Chris, died in 2004, and Keith is now full time minister at Thorpe Edge Evangelical Church which is very close by, but remains as an elder at Christ Church and is able to attend some of our meetings.

Luke Plant is our youngest elder and our Assistant Pastor. He does about a quarter of the preaching and is involved with outreach to international students at Global Cafe.

You can find photos of the leaders and many other members of our congregation on the photos page.
